Bayshore Concrete Products to add 135 jobs in Northampton

Bayshore Concrete Products announced Tuesday a $4 million expansion in Northampton County that will add 135 jobs.

Bayshore will invest in harbor infrastructure improvements, which will allow it to precast larger concrete components and ship them to customers for transportation and infrastructure projects. The company makes precast concrete products and is a subsidiary of construction and development company Skanska USA.

Gov. Terry McAuliffe approved a $150,000 grant to secure the deal.

Virginia successfully competed against Maryland, New Jersey and New York for the project.
