Michael Troutman will also serve as the Richmond-based bank's first chief revenue officer.

Michael H. Troutman was hired as executive vice president and chief revenue officer of Richmond-based Bay Banks of Virginia Inc., holding company for Virginia Commonwealth Bank and VCB Group Inc., the bank announced Thursday.
Troutman has been in banking for 18 years and in his new role will be responsible for revenue-generation strategy. He will be VCB’s first chief revenue officer.
Before VCB, Troutman held leadership positions at Branch Bank & Trust (BB&T), now Truist Financial Corp., in Central Kentucky, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and Newport News. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned a bachelor’s degree in management and society. He is currently enrolled in a master of business administration degree program at William & Mary.

Bay Banks has 18 banking offices throughout the greater Richmond region, the Northern Neck region, Middlesex County and the Hampton Roads region.
