AVMAC LLC, an aviation management and analytical consulting company, will hold a grand opening and formal ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new location in Chesapeake’s Oakbrooke Professional Center on Wednesday, Dec.18th at 1:00 p.m.
The office, located at 516 Innovation Drive, represents a $350,000 investment and will result in the creation of five new jobs paying an average salary of nearly $65,000. AVMAC’s Chesapeake facility also will function as headquarters to its 11 employees located in California and Maryland.
The company is currently located at 432 Woodbridge Drive in Chesapeake. While it considered other areas in Hampton Roads, it decided to stay in the city. “To be headquartered in the fleet and military hub of Virginia is key to our success, and Chesapeake is centrally located to serve our clients’ best interests,” company President and CEO Bert Ortiz said in a statement.
The company provides Veteran aviation technical support and management consulting services to government and private industry.
