VIRGINIA BEACH Del. Bob Purkey, chairman of the House Finance Committee and a member of the General Assembly for 27 years, won't seek re-election. The Republican, who represents the 82nd District that includes part of Virginia Beach, announced his intentions Saturday. Purkey said the decision comes after "much soul-searching and great reflection."
