Walter E. Washington Convention Center

At 2.3 million square feet, including 703,000 square feet of event space and 77 meeting rooms, this is one of the East Coast’s largest convention venues. It is accessible by Metro and has more than 3,000 parking spaces.

Greater Richmond Convention Center

The downtown facility, at 700,000 square feet, is Virginia’s largest convention center. It includes a 178,000-square-foot exhibit hall and a 30,550-square-foot grand ballroom, as well as 36 meeting rooms.

Close to the ocean and a forthcoming indoor sports complex next door, this 525,000-square-foot venue has a 150,012-square-foot exhibit area and a 31,029-square-foot ballroom.

Hampton Roads Convention Center

The Hampton Roads region’s other large convention center. At 344,000 square feet, this facility has three first-floor exhibition halls totaling 102,600 square feet and seven ballrooms that can be combined into a 27,907-square-foot room.

More than the home of NASCAR races, the complex has 167,400 square feet of event space, including a 60,000-square-foot exhibition hall and the 36,000-square-foot Old Dominion building for parties or exhibits.

Built in 1971, the Scope Arena hosts concerts and hockey, but the venue also has 140,000 square feet of exhibition and meeting space.
