Fiorillo began his career at ECS in 1993 as a field technician. In 2020, he was promoted to president of the ECS Group after serving as chief operating officer. Because Fiorillo joined the company when it was new, he had the opportunity to work on projects for the primary owners while developing strong relationships with them. He recalls their providing a road map for him to achieve his goals.
Founded in 1988, ECS focuses on geotechnical, construction materials, environmental and facilities engineering; it has grown to more than 90 offices with 2,700 employees spread across the country.
As president and CEO, Fiorillo leads the development of the organization’s long- and short-term strategies and manages overall operations. He also oversees the company’s fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting and auditing.
He completed his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering at Auburn University and received his MBA from George Mason University and his master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Florida. Fiorillo serves as board chair for the nonprofit U.S. Hunger.
