Reston-based media measurement and analytics company Comscore Inc. has made a multi-year agreement expanding and extending its relationship with Fox Corp., including using Comscore’s national TV measurement, it announced Friday.
Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.
“It is a privilege to continue our longstanding relationship with Fox and have their vote of confidence in our TV measurement,” Carol Hinnant, Comscore’s chief revenue officer, said in a statement.
Comscore’s TV Essentials tracks viewing from more than 75 million screens and 30 million households in the U.S., according to Comscore’s website.
On Monday, Comscore announced its second quarter 2021 results. Revenue in the second quarter of 2021 totaled $87.7 million, down from $88.6 million in the same quarter last year. The National TV service gained six accounts, including sports and entertainment marketing agency Octagon.
In recent years, Comscore has faced executive departures — most recently of its chief financial officer, Greg Fink, in July — and a Securities and Exchange Commission investigation that resulted in Comscore paying a $5 million settlement in 2019.
