In March, Bredow was appointed president and CEO of NVR, one of the nation’s largest homebuilding and mortgage banking companies, replacing Paul C. Saville, who has transitioned to executive chairman.
A graduate of the University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business and a member of its board of advisers, Bredow has worked for NVR since 2004 and served as president of NVR Mortgage starting in April 2019, after holding several executive positions in accounting and administration.
NVR’s homebuilding segment is the nation’s fourth-largest builder, operating under the Ryan Homes, NVHomes and Heartland Homes trade names in 35 metro areas across 15 states and Washington, D.C. Its mortgage and settlement subsidiaries provide an array of financing and settlement and title services to complement its homebuilding business.
NVR’s annual revenue for 2021 was $8.95 billion, an 18.7% increase from the $7.54 billion the company reported for the prior year.
