A former tax practice partner at Deloitte, Blank took over as Washington, D.C., market leader for the Big Four accounting firm in January, succeeding Tamika Tremaglio, who left to become executive director of the National Basketball Players Association.
Blank has extensive experience in tax research and analysis, tax planning, mergers and acquisitions, tax technology and compliance. He holds two degrees from the University of Florida and has been with Deloitte since 1995. Deloitte has 345,000 employees, with 13,575 in Virginia, and reported $50.2 billion in worldwide revenue in fiscal 2021.
Blank serves on the boards of the Wolf Trap Foundation, the Greater Washington Board of Trade, United Way of the National Capital Area and the Black Bear Youth Hockey Foundation.

WHAT I WAS LIKE IN HIGH SCHOOL: I would say a bit lost and insecure. I really did not have an understanding of who or what I wanted to be in life.
