Professional Services 2023: JENNIFER WOLD

Wold comes to Virginia from Wichita, Kansas. Wold, who became Forvis’ top executive in the commonwealth on June 1, oversees the top 10 accounting firm’s offices in Richmond and Norfolk. Coincidentally, June also marked the one-year anniversary of the merger between Missouri-based BKD CPAs & Advisors and North Carolina-based Dixon Hughes Goodman that created Forvis.

In her new position, Wold focuses on strategic growth and talent acquisition and development. She joined BKD as a direct-admit audit partner in 2018 and previously worked at Grant Thornton in that role. Before that, she was vice president of operations for Accenture and controller at Ritchie Cos.

A graduate of Wichita State University with a degree in accounting, Wold was active in civic and arts organizations in Wichita, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Forvis, which recorded $1.5 billion in revenue in fiscal year 2022, has 72 offices across 28 states, the U.K. and Cayman Islands. The firm has approximately 5,700 employees serving 70 markets, including about 300 employees in Virginia.
