Newport News-based ITA International LLC has received a $78 million contract from the Air Force for security support services at multiple locations across Central Command.
The work, on behalf of the Ninth Air Force Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron, includes base operations, administration, plans, security forces training and military exercises at bases in the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Qatar from May 2022 to November 2027, according to an ITA news release.
“We are thrilled the Air Force has continued to put its trust in ITA,” ITA CEO Mike Melo said in a statement. “We are committed to providing the personnel who know and understand mission support services and look forward to helping Ninth Air Force enhance operations.”
The Ninth Air Force, or Air Forces Central, is the air component Centcom, and is responsible for air operations and developing contingency plans in support of national objectives for a 21-nation area of responsibility in Southwest Asia. It also manages an extensive supply and equipment prepositioning program with several areas of responsibility.
Founded in 2005, ITA International has more than 300 employees and provides services in operational support, marine engineering, cyber operations and data analytics.
