With facilities in Roanoke and Katy, Texas, Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems Corp. Americas designs and develops advanced automation systems, large AC and DC motors and photovoltaic inverters. Bhatia, who has been with the Japanese-owned company since 2003 and previously was its chief operating officer, was tapped to lead both U.S. operations when they consolidated in 2021.
An engineering graduate of Gulbarga University in India, Bhatia also serves on the board of TMEIC International Corp. and TMEIC Canada Corp. In April, the company completed its purchase of Spanish maritime business Orbita Ingeniería S.L.’s ports and terminals division for an undisclosed amount.
