In 1996, Trepp joined appliance manufacturer Hamilton Beach as its director of marketing and has since held various senior and executive leadership positions within the company. In 2017, he became president and CEO, overseeing the company’s consumer, international and commercial divisions. He also previously served as the CEO of various subsidiaries, including Hamilton Beach’s Canadian operation.
Hamilton Beach, which sells home appliances and commercial restaurant equipment in North America, has 250 employees in Virginia and 700 employees worldwide. In 2022, the company earned $640.9 million, down from $658 million in 2021, and it forecast flat revenue for the full year of 2023.
In March, Hamilton Beach Brands announced an agreement to produce equipment to make Numilk, a nondairy milk pitched on “Shark Tank.” The home appliances are expected to reach consumers in early 2024.
Outside of work, Trepp is a board member of The Steward School. He’s also a graduate of the University of Richmond and the University of Connecticut’s MBA program.
