Aaron Betz joins the Arlington-based military health care provider

Arlington-based military health care provider Armed Forces Services Corp. (AFSC)/Magellan Federal announced Monday it has named Aaron Betz as senior director of the company’s Department of Veterans Affairs programs.

Betz was most recently the owner and business development executive of Washington, D.C.-based consulting company Centerline Pelorus LLC. In his new role, he will be responsible for supervising the development and delivery of new services that support military personnel, veterans, federal employees and their families.

Betz has nearly 30 years of active duty service in the U.S. Navy and private industry. He has worked with the Army in program management for the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Manpower and Reserve Affairs, Veterans Affairs Transition Assistance and education programs. He had also previously been the vice president of business development with GovernmentCIO and a vice president with DuraBante LLC. 

Betz earned his bachelor’s degree in public administration from Roger Williams University and his master’s degree in management from the Naval Postgraduate School. 

Magellan Federal is a wholly owned subsidiary of Fortune 500 company Magellan Health (which reported more than $7 billion in revenues last year). Magellan Federal has more than 3,000 employees and offers services at more than 250 bases, installations and agencies globally. Magellan Health acquired AFSC in 2016 for $117.5 million.
