Law: RANDALL S. PARKS

After nearly 35 years at Virginia’s second largest law firm, Parks was named chair of Richmond-based Hunton Andrews Kurth’s executive committee in April, succeeding George C. Howell III. A University of Virginia School of Law alumnus who also graduated from U.Va. with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and English literature, Parks previously was co-head of the firm’s corporate team and also led its retail and consumer products and global technology groups.

Information technology and outsourcing are Parks’ particular specialties, and he advises companies on global joint ventures and product development agreements, as well as data protection, cloud software and artificial intelligence projects. In 2021, he was named to The Legal 500’s Hall of Fame for the outsourcing practice area.

Outside of work, Parks is a member of the Richmond Symphony Orchestra Foundation board, and he previously served as chairman of the CenterStage Foundation and as an executive committee member for Metropolitan Richmond Sports Backers. He also chaired the Virginia Bar Association’s business section council.

Hunton Andrews Kurth has more than 900 lawyers in the United States, Asia, Europe and the Middle East, and about 196 attorneys are based in Virginia.
