A real estate attorney, Leigh is president-elect of the Virginia Bar Association and will serve his term in 2023. Leigh joined the bar association in 1997, became active in its real estate section in 2011 and joined its board of governors in 2019.

Raised in Northern Virginia, Leigh works with business and real estate clients on transactions, planning and litigation. He’s known for his ability to creatively solve problems through negotiating and lobbying, along with mediation and litigation. In 2017, he represented an Ashburn citizen’s group working to protect and restore a cemetery of enslaved people.

In 2020, the University of Richmond alumnus received the Virginia State Bar’s Traver Scholar Award, which honors attorneys who demonstrate the highest ideals and expertise while practicing real estate law, and who also have shared their knowledge with others.

Leigh clerked for then-Chief Justice Harry Carrico of the state Supreme Court. He  joined the Fairfax firm Blankingship & Keith PC before moving in 2002 to Troxell Leigh PC (then known as Mims, Atwill & Leigh).
