Parks became chair of Richmond-based Hunton Andrews Kurth’s executive committee in April 2022 after nearly 35 years at the firm, which employed just under 200 attorneys in Virginia as of March.
A University of Virginia School of Law alumnus who also graduated from U.Va. with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and English literature, Parks previously was co-head of the firm’s corporate team and led its retail and consumer products and global technology groups.
Parks specializes in information technology and outsourcing. He advises companies on global joint ventures and product development agreements, as well as data protection, cloud software and artificial intelligence projects. In 2021, Parks was named to The Legal 500’s Hall of Fame for the outsourcing practice area.
Parks serves as vice president on the Richmond Symphony Orchestra Foundation board, and he previously served as chairman of the CenterStage Foundation. He also chaired the Virginia Bar Association’s business section council.
