Since 2010, Jain has been at the helm of Landmark Hotel Group LLC, a hospitality company specializing in the management, ownership and development of hotels. Landmark’s portfolio includes 11 properties, including the new Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott at Virginia Beach’s Town Center.
Landmark’s chair is Akhil’s father, Raj Jain, who founded Landmark in 1983 with the purchase of an Outer Banks hotel in North Carolina.
Akhil Jain worked his way up the company ladder over the years, starting out at Landmark as an entry level associate. He earned a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree in hospitality management from Cornell University. He sits on the regional advisory board for TowneBank Virginia Beach as well as on the board for the Coliseum Central Business Improvement District Inc. in Hampton. Additionally, he chairs the board for the Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters’ Health System in Norfolk.
