Herndon-based national security contractor Peraton announced Wednesday it has been awarded a total of $188 million in new and extended U.S. federal contracts to support national security missions and warfighting domains.

The individual award amounts and customers were not specified by Peraton, but the company typically works with the Intelligence Community, the Department of Defense, federal agencies and commercial entities.

In 2017, the former government services business Harris Corp. became Peraton after it was acquired by Veritas Capital. Peraton, through the U.S. federal contracts, will provide systems development and mission capability integration.

“By fusing our passion for national security with our depth of experience, Peraton regularly contributes to outcomes that meet and exceed our customers’ current and future mission requirements,” Mike King, Peraton’s chief growth officer, said in a statement. “We are honored to support a comprehensive array of nationally-critical efforts.”

The company focuses its work on warfighting domains in space, cyber and intelligence and builds mission capability solutions. Peraton employs 3,500 people across the U.S. and Canada.

“Our work goes beyond providing technology and solutions; we are deeply committed to the success and long-term sustainability of our customers’ missions,” King said in a statement.
