Pesicka leads a Hanover County Fortune 500 health care logistics and medical supplies company that reported almost $9.8 billion in 2021 revenue and employs more than 20,000 people worldwide, about 1,400 of whom are in Virginia.
He spent 15 years at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., leading go-to-market strategies as chief commercial officer and senior vice president, before joining Owens & Minor in March 2019. Pesicka received his bachelor’s degree from Muskingum University and earned an MBA from Case Western Reserve University.
In June, Owens & Minor broke ground on a 350,000-square-foot “center of excellence” for medical supplies and logistics in West Virginia that’s expected to open in late 2023. This year, the 140-year-old company also completed its $1.6 billion acquisition of Indianapolis-based Apria Inc. to form a segment that will expand its home health care business.
In March, Pesicka announced that Owens & Minor was donating $500,000 in medical-grade personal protective equipment to support humanitarian relief in Ukraine.
