Harrison & Bates Inc. announced Wednesday it was changing its public brand to H&B on Jan. 1 for all its third-party commercial real estate brokerage operations. The Richmond-based company has been doing business as Colliers International for several years.
The rebranding is the latest wrinkle in a recent shuffling of Virginia’s commercial real estate brokerage scene.
In Oct., CBRE Inc. and CB Richard Ellis of Virginia announced plans to end their affiliate agreement on Dec. 31. CBRE Inc. plans to operate as a wholly-owned business in Virginia beginning in January.
In Nov., Colliers International Group Inc. announced it was acquiring a majority interest in CB Richard Ellis of Virginia Inc. and rebranding it as Colliers International | Virginia.
Founded in 1910, Harrison & Bates in a news release called the rebranding a return to its “legacy name.” The firm has 49 total employees in Richmond and Norfolk.
In addition to the rebrand, Harrison & Bates announced a new division called H&B Project Services that will offer real estate products for clients looking for needs analysis, due diligence and real estate project management.
