A first-generation college student, Boston arrived at Dartmouth College from his native St. Louis without a proper New Hampshire wardrobe. “I froze my butt off,” he recalled in a profile published by the university.
Quick to give credit to all the people — from his high school football coach to Dartmouth alumni to business mentors — who’ve guided him on his journey, Boston is intent on paying that help forward.
At Dynex, a real estate investment trust with a market capitalization of more than $615 million, Boston works to track and grow the numbers of women and minorities on the staff and board. He mentors students and young professionals. At Dartmouth, he established a scholarship for first-generation college students.
Over his 30-year career, Boston has held leadership roles in asset management and investment banking and founded two public companies.
