Geveden, a former associate administrator and chief engineer for NASA, joined BWXT, a nuclear power and component supplier that reported $2.1 billion in revenue last year, as its chief operating officer in 2015, becoming CEO in 2017.
A graduate of Murray State University, he logged nearly a decade as an executive at Teledyne Technologies Inc. and its subsidiaries, including a stint as president of Teledyne DALSA, which produces machine vision systems and X-ray sensors.
Last year, BWXT announced it would build a $65 million center for manufacturing and research and development in Campbell County, adjacent to its current facility. In June, its BWXT Advanced Technologies LLC subsidiary received a $300 million contract to build the country’s first advanced nuclear microreactor.
Geveden chairs the board of electronics manufacturer TTM Technologies Inc. and serves on the board of the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance.
