Chronis joined Palo Alto, California-based cloud computing virtualization software company VMware in March, moving over from Verizon, where she had also overseen federal contracting. In May, VMware agreed to be acquired for $61 billion by Broadcom Inc.
A retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel and combat veteran with more than two decades of service, Chronis served in Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm, stationed in Saudi Arabia and Iraq, and Operation Enduring Freedom in Bosnia. A University of Virginia graduate, Chronis previously worked for Amazon Web Services and IBM.
Chronis received the Institute for Excellence in Sales’ Women in Sales Executive Leadership Award in 2022.
