Monet joined Akima as its president and CEO in 2012. He received his third consecutive Wash100 award in 2022, which acknowledged Akima’s revenue growth through several major contract wins; the company had its best year ever in fiscal 2021 with revenues of more than $1.6 billion, Monet told WashingtonExec. Akima ranked No. 29 on Washington Technology’s 2022 list of the top 100 federal contractors, slipping a spot from the previous year.
Monet has a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech, a master’s degree from George Washington University and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. From late 2020 through much of 2021, he led a restructuring of NANA’s leadership as NANA’s interim president and CEO, subsequently adding the title of chief operating officer for NANA, overseeing business operations and shared services for its commercial companies.
