With over 50,000 employees worldwide, Tysons-based Maximus has been supporting government services programs for more than 50 years and runs Medicare and Affordable Care Act customer help lines, as well as pandemic vaccinations for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Caswell joined Maximus in 2004 and has been president since 2014, becoming CEO in 2018. He previously worked at IBM, including as vice president of state and local government and education, as well as director of federal business development, and he started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Maximus reported $4.63 billion in revenue for fiscal 2022, an 8.9% increase from the previous year. The company expects revenue for fiscal 2023 to range between $4.75 billion and $4.9 billion, Caswell said in November 2022.
WashingtonExec’s 2022 public company CEO of the year, Caswell has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Haverford College and a master’s degree from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. He chairs the Northern Virginia Technology Council’s board and serves on boards for the Wolf Trap Foundation and the Greater Washington Partnership.
