Working in economic development has provided Bobe with the opportunity to be part of the significant transformation taking place in Southern Virginia.
Promoted to director in 2020, she has helped the city of Danville land numerous investments, including a deal with Caesars Entertainment for a $650 million resort casino, as well as new manufacturing facilities for Tyson Foods, Staunton River Plastics and vertical farm company AeroFarms. Over the past year, the city has announced more than $480 million in new investment within regional industrial parks, as well as within the downtown River District.
Bobe joined the city in 2009 as a marketing and research manager and has also served as project manager and assistant economic development director.
An alum of Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech, Bobe is also a graduate of the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute and the Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Southside program.
