Applications are being accepted through Aug. 17 for the Tayloe Murphy Resilience Awards, which recognize Virginia businesses that are beating the odds in economically challenged communities.
The awards are presented by the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and Virginia Community Capital, which offers nontraditional financing and advice to organizations and businesses. Applicants must demonstrate economic growth, job creation and community leadership during the past three years. Winners will be chosen in five categories, plus a Chairman’s Award. The categories are agriculture, manufacturing, micro business (fewer than five employees), retail/wholesale and service.
Winners will receive a scholarship to attend a Darden Executive Education program to help grow and advance their businesses. Applicants also will be eligible for business development assistance from Darden MBA students. To apply for the awards, click here.
