In what will be its first store in the Hampton Roads region, Anthropologie has signed a lease for a 9,431-square-foot store The Town Center of Virginia Beach.
“This is the first of several new and exciting fashion retailers coming to the Town Center of Virginia Beach this fall, each of which will be the first of its kind in all of Hampton Roads,” Gerald S. Divaris, chairman and CEO of Divaris Real Estate, Inc., said in a statement.
Anthropologie will anchor the retail space in the newly built Main Street Tower on the corner of Main and Town Center Drive.
Main Street Tower is a 15-story office building located at 4525 Main St. Its anchor tenant is architecture firm, Clark Nexsen. The tower also has about 27,000 square feet of retail space, 288 apartments and an 890-space, covered parking garage.
According to Divaris Real Estate, Anthropologie – which sells women’s clothing, accessories, gifts and home décor — is expected to host a grand opening in the Town Center during the fourth quarter of this year.
Gerald Divaris and Sezin Cortinas, in the Virginia Beach office of Divaris Real Estate, handled lease negotiations on behalf of the landlord, Armada Hoffler Properties, Inc.
