American Woodmark, a kitchen and cabinet manufacturer, will spend $30 million to build a new headquarters in Frederick County.
The headquarters will consolidate the company’s operations in the Winchester/Frederick County area and create 55 new jobs.
The project will retain 377 current jobs in Virginia. The commonwealth competed to keep American Woodmark’s headquarters. retaining 377 current jobs. Gov. Terry McAuliffe approved $550,000 from the Commonwealth’s Opportunity Fund for the project.
The company operates nine manufacturing facilities and seven service centers across the country.

As such, I am extremely excited that we will be creating a central corporate office, consolidating four facilities within the Winchester area. By bringing our employees together at one location, we will further strengthen our interpersonal connections, drive efficiency in our day-to-day interactions and greatly enhance our ability to move our culture towards our vision.”
