Ace Hardware’s 798,786-square-foot distribution building in Prince George County is on the market. According to CBRE|Richmond, which announced the listing Tuesday, the asking price for the facility at 7000 Hardware drive is $28 million. The Richmond and Hampton Roads office of CBRE are the listing agents for the property.
The building sits on 155 acres and can be expanded by about 391,000 square feet. Currently, the building has more than 41,000 square feet of office space, 84 cross-dock loading doors and a 32 foot-clear height. CBRE describes it as the only Class A distribution facility over 500,000 square feet currently available in the mid-Atlantic region.
The building is a few miles from Interstate 95. With a 1.1-million-square-foot facility under construction in Pennsylvania as well as an expansion at its Suffolk distribution center, CBRE said Ace Hardware no longer has a need for the Prince George facility.
Ace Hardware has occupied the facility since it was built in 2001 and will continue to occupy it through September 2018.
