Reston-based Access National Bank is expanding into Arlington.
The bank’s first branch in the county is expected to open by the end of the year in the Courthouse neighborhood at 2300 Wilson Blvd. The building is a former Bank of Georgetown branch.
The Arlington branch will become the bank’s seventh regional office. Bank officials said it already caters to a sizeable Arlington clientele.
“Recent market disruption created by bank mergers has accelerated our plans to expand with an office in Arlington,” CEO Michael Clarke said in a statement. “We continue to selectively add to our branch network as we assess all strategies to build shareholder value.”
Access National Bank was founded in 1999.
