AFS will help Army Communications-Electronics Command merge ERP systems

Arlington-based Accenture Federal Services won a $729 million contract from the U.S. Army, it announced Tuesday.
Under the six-year contract, AFS will help the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) consolidate multiple enterprise resource planning systems into a single model. The company will support the Army Shared Services Center (SSC) initiative of CECOM with capability support functions like organizational change management.
Retired Army Lt. Gen. Susan Lawrence, managing director of the AFS Armed Forces portfolio, said in a statement, “We’re excited to partner with SSC on its transformation journey. “AFS will bring proven commercial capabilities with our understanding of the unique needs of the military to define and optimize processes and achieve productivity improvements.”
AFS has 10,500 employees and is a subsidiary of Irish Fortune Global 500 company Accenture. AFS has clients within the national security, federal health, military and civilian services industries. Last year, Accenture reported more than $40 billion in revenue.
