StoneSprings Hospital Center, located at 24440 Stone Springs Blvd. in Dulles, opened its doors this morning. The hospital saw its first patient in the Emergency Department at 7:45 a.m.
The 234,000-square-foot, 124 all private bed facility is part of HCA Virginia Health System. It provides a wide range of medical services, including a full-service, 24/7 emergency room, surgical, labor and delivery, pediatric and intensive care services, a cardiac catheterization lab and diagnostic imaging.
StoneSprings, a $186 million dollar project that includes an medical office building, is the first new hospital to open in Loudoun County in 100 years.
“StoneSprings Hospital Center is a state-of-the-art complex that was designed to enhance the patient experience. Patients and visitors will find a serene environment that promotes healing, highly-trained clinical specialists and staff and the latest equipment and technology,” Mark Rader, CEO of StoneSprings Hospital Center, said in a statement.
Statewide, HCA operates 14 hospitals and more than 30 outpatient centers and is affiliated with 3,000 physicians. According to HCA, the health system is Virginia’s fourth-largest private employer.
