Recently renovated Silverline Center continues to draw tenants to Tysons

TenPenh restaurant, which operated in Washington, D.C., for more than a decade, is moving to the recently renovated Silverline Center at Tysons.

The restaurant’s proprietors signed a lease for 6,395 square feet of space.  TenPenh, named for its original location at 10th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, is scheduled to open next year.

Joining the restaurant is another new tenant, Bourbon Coffee, an international coffee producer and purveyor. It plans to offer full service in the spring 2016. In addition to its own sustainably grown and produced coffee, Bourbon Coffee will offer a breakfast and lunch menu. It began operations in Kigali, Rwanda, in 2007, and has expanded to eight locations across Rwanda and the U.S. The Tysons space is its ninth location.

After an extensive façade and lobby renovation, Washington REIT completed improvements to the Silverline Center in the second quarter of 2015. Since then, the company said it has executed 261,000 square feet in leases, bringing the building’s occupancy rate to to 93 percent.

The 532,000-square-foot structure at 7900 Westpark Drive was originally built in 1971. It has direct access to Metro’s Silver Line and two I-495 express lanes.

In late November, commercial real estate development association, Northern Virginia NAIOP, recognized the Silverline Center with top awards for Best Building Repositioning and Best Building Common area.

Washington REIT invests in properties in the greater Washington, D.C., area. It has a portfolio of 55 properties, totaling about 7 million square feet of commercial space along with 3,258 residential units.
