PRESIDENT AND CEO, CADENCE, STAUNTON

In 2022, Werge became Cadence’s president and CEO. He previously held leadership positions at Nypro (now Jabil Healthcare), where he led its consumer and electronics business for the Americas region and led India operations. He also was vice president and general manager of Phillips-Medisize’s global commercial division.
Cadence, a contract manufacturer of medical and drug delivery devices, employs more than 700 people nationwide and in Costa Rica. It is a subsidiary of private equity firm Kohlberg & Co.
In January 2023, Cadence acquired miniature medical device components manufacturer Utitec. In October 2023, Cadence acquired the Florida location of ARC Group Worldwide, a precision manufacturer that specializes in metal and cleanroom plastic injection molding. Cadence held a grand opening for its Costa Rica facility in May.
An alumnus, Werge delivered the 2024 commencement address at Marianapolis Preparatory School in June. He completed his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Connecticut and attended Harvard Business School’s Program for Leadership Development.
