Gov. Terry McAuliffe on Friday named two senior policy advisers.
Debra Ferguson and Jennie Moline O’Holleran had held other posts in the McAuliffe administration.
Ferguson was the commissioner of the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services. O’Holleran served as the deputy secretary of education.
Ferguson’s also served as senior deputy and chief of clinical operations for the Illinois Department of Human Services’ Division of Mental Health.
She is a clinical and forensic psychologist who received doctoral and master’s degrees from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
Before working for the McAuliffe administration, O’Holleran was director of Virginia relations at GW.
Her past career includes working for the policy office of then-Gov. Tim Kaine. She received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree in public administration from GW.
