Monday Properties said Tuesday that it has signed a 14,700-square-foot lease with Ryan LLC, the largest indirect and property tax practice in North America.
According to Monday, Ryan will consolidate its Arlington and Washington, D.C., offices into a new location at 1000 Wilson Boulevard. It’s part of the Twin Towers project in Rosslyn, along with 1100 Wilson Boulevard.
“The Towers provide our employees with a compelling package of robust on-site amenities, Metro access, and collaborative workspaces with amazing views,” Michael Allen, Ryan’s Washington D.C., principal-in-charge said in a statement.
Ryan’s occupancy of the 21st floor will begin in early 2016 just before the projected spring opening of the Rosslyn Twin Towers’ new 5,000-square-foot rooftop deck. It’s located at the top of 1100 Wilson Boulevard. The deck, open to tenants in both towers, will be one of the largest in the area. It will include indoor and outdoor space, a bar and catering kitchen, restrooms and lounge seating.
Monday Properties said it has invested more than $70 million in improvements to the Twin Towers in recent years, including new lobbies, elevators and HVAC system upgrades.
Creighton Armstrong of JLL represented Ryan in the transaction while Monday Properties was represented in-house by Tim Helmig,Monday's president and chief operatating officer, John Wharton and Deniz Yener.
Rosslyn’s Twin Towers offer more than 1 million square feet of space. They are home to the Raytheon Co., SRI International, several media firms including Capitol News Co. (Politico), and financial/consulting firms.
In addition, Sands Capital Management recently signed a lease for 80,000 square feet.
