MicroTech hires CFO

Vienna-based contractor MicroTech said Monday it has hired David A. Hinson as its CFO and chief of mergers and acquisitions.


In his new role, Hinson will lead all financial operations, acquisition activities and head the new MicroTech financial services division.


Prior to joining MicroTech, Hinson was the national director of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Minority Business Development Agency, where he led the agency to its best 5-year performance in its 45-year history.


Hinson also was selected to serve on the White House Business Council and president's Interagency Taskforce on Small Business Contracting, among others.


Before his government service, Hinson held senior level management positions at Wealth Management Network, Envestnet Asset Management, Bank of America and Morgan Stanley.


He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania – Wharton School and completed executive management training at the Tuck Business School, Dartmouth College.
