A Hampton Roads real estate firm has added a new executive.

Norfolk-based S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. announced Tuesday the hiring of Andrew M. Pegalis in the real estate firm’s Richmond office. Pegalis will focus on finding development and investment opportunities along with management of assets for different partnerships.

Pegalis was formerly a managing member at Acclaim Properties LLC, a commercial real estate firm based in Richmond and senior account executive and general counsel for an insurance company in Leesburg called Armfield, Harrison & Thomas Inc.

In other S.L. Nusbaum news, the company recently took over management of a multifamily property with 15 communities in and around downtown Norfolk.
