Markel Corp. names chief operating officer, claims
Glen Allen-based Markel Corp. has named Mike Clancy chief operating officer, claims.
The promotion is effective June 15.
Clancy joined Markel in January 2012 as a managing director. In that role, he has worked with leadership teams across Markel to focus on creating business efficiencies, developing tools and resources to support operating discipline.
Before joining Markel, Clancy worked for the Boston Consulting Group and was a consultant for Markel.
Markel is a financial holding company. Its principal business involves specialty insurance products.
