Richmond-based Weinstein Properties has acquired a 396-unit apartment community in Austin, Texas, and plans to buy another 300-unit complex in July.
Financial details on the acquisitions were not disclosed.
The company plans to seek additional apartments to increase its Austin portfolio.
Shannon Green has been named the company’s regional director responsible for the Austin area. Green, who worked for the company for more than five years, recently transferred to Austin.
The two Austin apartment communities will become part of Weinstein’s Bexley brand. The just-acquired 396-unit property will be known as Bexley at Anderson Mill.
With the two Austin acquisitions, Weinstein will own and manage more than 15,000 apartments in Virginia, North Carolina and Texas.
