Controlled Conditions Corp. has acquired property in the Greenwood Industrial Park section of Portsmouth and plans to consolidate and relocate its headquarters.
Company President Phillip C. Jones said about 40 to 50 employees will move into three buildings on the site, which offers 20,000 square feet. The buildings will house the company’s office, shop and warehouse space, and they will provide space for future expansion, Jones said.
Over the course of the year, all functional and administrative operations for each of the PECT Enterprises Corp. companies, the parent company of Controlled Conditions, will relocate to the six-acre site from the company’s current headquarters in Chesapeake. Controlled Conditions also has several ancillary facilities in Newport News.
The flagship operating company for PECT Enterprises, it provides professional HVAC and refrigeration services to numerous large commercial / industrial clients along with many city, state and federal agencies.
“This consolidation and move is critical to the company in order for us to continue to sustain the past growth levels and support the strategic, dynamic expansion levels projected,” Jones said in a statement.
Assisting the company with the transaction was Lindsey Elliott of Riddle Associates and Laura O. Morgan, vice president of Wells Fargo Commercial Banking Division, Norfolk; and Josh David and James Reid, senior partners with David, Kamp and Frank in Newport News.
