Litton is responsible for day-to-day operations at Harbor Group International, a 38-year-old real estate investment and management firm with 1,500 employees and $20 billion in real estate investments throughout the United States and the United Kingdom. One of its most famous properties is the Eero Saarinen-designed CBS Building in midtown New York City, which HGI acquired for $760 million in 2021.
A University of Virginia School of Law alumnus, Litton started his career at Kaufman & Canoles before joining HGI in 2004. He chairs the company’s investment and credit committees, and he also sits on its operations and executive committees. Additionally, Litton leads HGI’s transactions group.
In April, HGI sold its 556-unit Sussex at Kingstowne apartment community in Fairfax County for $179 million, about five years after it purchased the property for $144 million. It currently has 58,000 apartment units in the United States and 5 million square feet of commercial space in the U.S. and U.K.
Litton serves as a founding director and secretary and treasurer for the Tidewater Friends of Foster Care board and is on the board for the Norfolk-based Access College Foundation.
