Five Virginia companies have made it on the 2015 Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For list.

The Virginia companies on the list are Fairfax-based CustomInk; CarMax Inc. in Henrico County; Vienna-based Navy Federal; and Mars Inc. and Capital One Financial Corp., which are both headquartered in Mclean. For the sixth time, California-based Google was named the No. 1 company to work for.

To compile the list, Fortune says it partners with San Francisco-based research and consulting firm Great Places to Work to “conduct the most extensive employee survey in corporate America.”

CustomInk debuted on the list as the highest ranked Virginia company at No. 62. Fortune says that perks at the online, T-shirt retailer include free massages and a weekly, catered meal.

CarMax wasn’t far behind, landing the 64th spot on the list (that’s a 10 point drop from its ranking in 2014). “America’s largest used car retailer is growing fast — about a dozen new stores a year — giving staffers many opportunities to help start up an operation,” Fortune says, noting the firm’s comprehensive relocation packages.

Navy Federal Credit Union saw a big improvement in its ranking from last year, jumping from No. 96 to No. 72.

Mars dropped nine points since the 2014 listing to No. 85. It was hailed for its new, 500,000-square-foot plant in Topeka, Kan., which created 200 jobs.

Capital One’s ranking also declined from No. 85 last year to No. 91 in 2015. It was acknowledged for its telecommuting and career development opportunities.
