Angold, a former Navy SEAL who graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy, wore one of ADS’ wetsuits when he was deployed on missions.
In 2005, Angold left the Navy and joined Blackbird Technologies, a solutions provider for the intelligence community that became part of Raytheon Technologies (now RTX). He joined ADS in 2010 as Navy sales vertical manager and worked his way up to senior vice president of market sales.
In June 2022, Angold was promoted to CEO of ADS, which started out by outfitting Navy SEALs with dive equipment and now provides more than 50,000 tactical gear items to all U.S. military branches, as well as federal, state and local agencies and U.S. partner nations.
In 2021, ADS recorded $3.1 billion in revenue. The company has come under scrutiny for receiving large federal defense contracts meant for small businesses, including a slot on a $33 billion contract from the Defense Logistics Agency, The Washington Post reported in 2021. In April, ADS won a place on a potential 10-year, $3.2 billion DLA contract.
As a volunteer for the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic, Angold promotes mental health and self-care for the military community.
