Real Estate: TIMOTHY FAULKNER

In January, Faulkner became president and CEO of The Breeden Co., a real estate development firm led for 60 years by family patriarch and company founder Ramon W. Breeden Jr., who is now board chairman.

Before taking the reins, Faulkner had served as chief operating officer and president of property management for the company, which has about 425 employees in Virginia and 2 million square feet of retail and office space it has managed, owned or developed.

Prior to working for Breeden, Faulkner was president and COO of Lawton Lumber Co.; vice president of operations for American Coating Technologies; and a process engineer and production manager for Procter & Gamble.

He spent four years in the U.S. Army as a platoon leader, assistant operations officer and battalion personnel officer in the 82nd Airborne Division in Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Faulkner serves on the boards of the Virginia Symphony Orchestra, the Neptune Festival and Virginia Beach Vision.
