Ramirez has headed Troutman Pepper’s Virginia Beach office for six years. He joined the 125-year-old, global law firm in 2005, handling mergers and acquisitions, general corporate and limited liability company matters, joint ventures, private equity, and licensing transitions. He serves as general outside counsel for multiple local and national businesses. “Our offices are committed to providing our clients the highest level of service,” he says.
Ramirez has received numerous professional accolades. He’s made the Best Lawyers in America list for mergers and acquisitions law every year since 2012, and for corporate law since 2020. He was selected by Best Lawyers as the Mergers and Acquisitions Law Norfolk Lawyer of the Year in 2016 and 2018, and as the Corporate Law Norfolk Lawyer of the Year for 2020.
He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and the University of Richmond School of Law. After law school, Ramirez clerked in the Supreme Court of Virginia’s chief staff attorney’s office. Before joining Troutman, he was a partner at Venable LLP.
