Goodwill Industries and Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer are partnering for an inaugural clothing drive. The idea behind the effort is to provide professional clothing for those that need a hand-up in re-entering the workforce or preparing for interviews.
The program, called “Suit Up,” will collect gently-used business clothing for the next five weeks at Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer’s corporate headquarters at 11100 W. Broad St. in the Short Pump corridor of Henrico County. An external drop box is on location, and the community can make donations.
Thalhimer plans to expand the partnership with Goodwill throughout the year to include programs like mentorship, interview preparation and resume writing. Associates from both firms will work with people to develop their employment skills and train them to work in a variety of industries outside of Goodwill. A nonprofit, Goodwill serves 39 cities and counties across Hampton Roads and Central Virginia with career development and support services.
