For almost five years Lucia has led Delta Dental of Virginia, a nonprofit that is the largest dental benefits carrier in Virginia. The company has about 300 employees and reported $750 million in revenue for fiscal year 2021.
Through its foundation, Delta Dental of Virginia has contributed more than $6 million to organizations that meet critical oral health needs and made an additional statewide contribution of more than $4 million to support Virginians impacted by COVID-19.
Lucia received his bachelor’s in accounting from Binghamton University and his MBA from the University of Miami. Previously, he worked as president and CEO of Dean Health Plan, a Wisconsin-based insurance company. Lucia has also held positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers, WR Grace & Co. and Cigna Corp.
